Hundreds pay their last respects to well-known Armenian businessman Hrant Vardanyan

Hundreds of employees of the Grand Holding Ltd, MPs and workers of culture have arrived at the Chamber Music Palace to pay their last respects to Founder and President of the Grand Holding Ltd Hrant Vardanyan.

Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group member Garegin Nushikyan told Tert.am that Hrant Vardanyan played a great role in the development of domestic production.

“I am sure his sons will continue his business. But most of his enterprises have succeeded since Armenia gained independence. He developed the industries that were in decline, and numerous people are employed at his enterprises. He was a very good man, father, grandfather and husband. We have suffered a great loss,” he said.

Chairman of the Native Commodity Producers Vazgen Safaryan said that Hrant Vardanyan was one of the few producers that managed to restore domestic production and consumer confidence.

Political scientist Hmayak Hovhannisyan said that Hrant Vardanyan inspired many people.

“He remained committed to his course. He did not seek easy ways – importing and selling products. Rather, he contributed to developing domestic production.”

Grand Holding Ltd employees remember Hrant Vardanyan as a kind man and excellent manager.
