Armenian mother of three found killed with kids in Georgia’s Javakhk

Four family members, including a mother and three children, have been found dead in their house in the village Vachian, Georgia’s Armenian-populated region Javakhk (Ninotsminda district).

The family’s father, Vaghinak Khachatryan, is said to be residing in Russia as an employment migrant.

The bodies of the wife, 37, and the three children, aged 5, 16 and 18, are thought to have been found two days after they were tragically killed.

“The family’s father left for Russia months ago as an employment migrant, but the family resided here.  All the four are reported to have been killed. The bodies were found by accident after a neighbor caught a strange smell and headed in that direction,” a resident of the village, Ruzanna S, told our correspondent.

According to the local police reports, the mother and two daughters died after being stabbed, while the five-year-old son was strangled to death.
