RA Criminal Court of Appeal decided to impose detention on Robert Kocharyan

RA Criminal Court of Appeal had decided to eliminate personal guarantee for Robert Kocharyan and impose detention as a preventive measure.

The court had read the verdict about changing the preventive measure for RA second president Robert Kocharyan, as well as changed the decision of RA Criminal Court of Appeal request to the Constitutional Court and suspending the proceedings on appeals by the RA General Prosecution against Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.

Kocharyan faces criminal charges over overthrowing Armenia's constitutional order in the period of the March 1-2, 2008 deadly post-electoral events.
