Armenian, Russian defense chiefs discuss ‘pressing concerns’ in Moscow
Acting Minister of Defense Vagarshak Harutyunyan on Friday met with his Russian counterpart in Moscow to discuss the pressing concerns pertaining to the bilateral agenda.
Congratulating the Armenian nation on the First Republic anniversary, General of the Russian Army Sergey Shoygu appreciated Harutyunyan’s visit to the country on the important holiday “as a sign of respect for the developing high-level relations”.
“That testifies to the existing high-level relations between our countries as we continue developing and deepening the strategic alliance,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Shoygu also reminded Harutyunyan of high-ranking Armenian delegations’ attendance at remarkable events held by the Russian Defense Ministry.
“We will be happy to see you at the IX Moscow Conference on National Security in June,” he said.
“In August-September we expect representatives of the Republic of Armenia to attend the International Army Games and the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2021,” the Russian Defense Minister added.
